About Rolando Cadena, DPM

Rolando Cadena, DPM, is an experienced podiatrist at Mesilla Valley Footcare in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He has been a pillar in the Las Cruces community for several years, leading his family-run practice to provide unmatched podiatric care. ​

Dr. Cadena began working at Memorial General Hospital in 1976 as an emergency room technician, focusing on orthopedics and fracture management. Through that experience, he realized there were a lot of diabetic patients winding up in the emergency room, especially for issues with their feet. Seeing the unnecessary pain and cost of an ER visit on patients, Dr. Cadena began on a path that would lead him to become a leading podiatrist and founder of Mesilla Valley Footcare. 

After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biology from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, Dr. Cadena moved to San Francisco to earn his doctorate from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Westside Hospital in Los Angeles, California, before returning to his native Las Cruces community. 

Dr. Cadena is committed to serving his community. He is bilingual and currently leads Mesilla Valley Footcare with his daughter, Dr. Clair Cadena Mirana.
